Beginners to Intermediate Artists are welcome to take this invaluable course to learn Oil Painting fundamentals, including Hue, Value and Chroma, various techniques, tips and more. This class will be beneficial for those starting from scratch as well as practiced painters who may have been away from their craft for awhile and are anxious to start painting again but need to boost their confidence. Still life projects will be provided for the class. Students will also have the option to choose to have guidance according to their level and/or in working on their choice of projects. This will allow students to address specific areas of oil painting in which they need help. Students can expect to complete one to three paintings depending on individual speed and whether they work on their paintings in-between classes. Drawing skills are helpful especially for those wishing to paint realism. If you can’t draw, don’t worry, everyone can develop an individual painting style. If the passion to paint is calling you but drawing is not, we can explore options to paint loose or even abstract. This will be a fun and informative class for all, with mixed lessons in an order of progression, to benefit any and all painting styles.
NOTE: We will not be covering portrait painting.

Jackie Kane
Jackie Kane is an Artist / Photographer who specializes in realistic paintings of various subjects with an emphasis on color.
Educated in Art and Design along with Photography, Jackie’s artistic journey includes college Art studies along with Figurative Painting at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and studies in Atelier Style Oil Painting. A vivid color palette, realistic painting and sharp photo images, reflect her personal fine art painting and photographic style.
Her architectural photography reflects expertise in Historic Interior Design and includes Hagley Museum, Wilmington, DE, The Read House, New Castle, DE, and various historic Cape May properties, as clients.
