Sanitation ServSafe Certification

Pennsylvania requires all food handlers to  pass the ServSafe certification exam. The Serv Safe Program, from the National Restaurant Association, leads the way in providing the restaurant and food service industry with an up-to-date, comprehensive food guide. These fun classes are for children with adults. Each student will get the ingredients and different wrappers to make his/her own dim sum. Students will learn how to wrap three different types of wontons  (American, Shanghai and Hong Kong ) and to make shi mai, quail egg shi mai and a variety of dumplings. Include hands-on dim sum making, which includes a variety of small, mouth-watering dishes that are standard fare in teahouses.  Then, Chef Poon takes the group to the Asian grocery store or Fortune Cookie Factory for a look and taste!
