Reiki I Certification

"Reiki" is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Force Energy. When activated and applied, Reiki accelerates the body's natural ability to heal itself. Learn the history of Reiki, basic hand positions and ways to use Reiki in your own life and in service to others, and receive and give a full Reiki treatment. Optional: students may purchase Essential Reiki by Diane Stein ($18.95) at Chester County Book Company. Students must attend both classes to receive the Reiki I Practitioner's Certification. Bring a mat and water.

Heartsaver Infant, Child and Adult CPR

Become certified in CPR for all ages including infant, child and adult. You will learn the new and scientifically researched American Heart Association guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and obstructed airway. Gain the basic knowledge and hands-on skills to help save lives in many emergency situations. Class is taught by an AHA Certified Instructor. Students who need certification cards, please bring $6 to class. If you're interested in purchasing a book with DVD, bring $15 to pay to the instructor. This class is for non healthcare professionals. NOTE: If you sign up with your spouse, the 2nd person is $40.

Paoli Hospital's Rehabilitation Department will provide a fun and informative running clinic for beginner, experienced, and elite athletes on the mechanics of running, common running injuries, and how to prevent them. Participants will be given a comprehensive stretching program to enhance running performance and prevent future injury.
