Introduction to Aikido
Kenneth Cadogan, 3rd Dan USAF, instructor
Aikido is a non-competitive, defense-oriented, Japanese system of self-defense, which utilizes circular, fluid body movements to deal with an attack. You will learn basic falls and rolls, known as Ukemi, as well as the basic techniques such as: takedowns, joint locks and body throws. Aikido provides an aerobic workout and promotes increased flexibility through regular stretching. No previous martial arts experience needed! NOTE: Class meets 3 times a week - Mondays 7-8:30pm, Wednesdays 6:30-8:30pm, and Fridays 6:30-7:30pm for 4 weeks.

Aquatic Resistance Circuit Training

Here's a 60 minute class designed to challenge cardiovascular endurance, total body strength and flexibility, and super core/trunk strengthening using powerful aquatic equipment. Class includes tether running, power moves, spinning, speed and agility circuits, warm water stretching and lots of fun! Be ready for all your favorite outdoor activities and sports. Super class for men and women alike -- couples are welcomed! Please wear aquatic shoes, which can be sneaker-like or slip-on, or wear old clean sneakers that have been washed and are used only for the pool. Space is limited to 15.
