Italian, Beginner I

This course is designed for people with little or no experience with the Italian language. Pronunciation and basic vocabulary will be our focus as we learn to formulate simple sentences, ask and answer questions, and share information about ourselves. We will also explore cultural and historical considerations to round out our appreciation of all things Italian.

Welcome back to those students who have completed Beginning Italian Part 2 using the Ultimate Italian text published by Living Language. Welcome is also extended to anyone who has a basic knowledge of Italian and needs a refresher course or just wants to use the language in a relaxed atmosphere. Spanish for Beginners

Milton Searles has taught Beginning Spanish for the Chester County Night School for 30 years, and he invites you to join in! Learn to speak, read and write Spanish, the second most used language in Chester County and the U.S. Through a variety of classroom activities,  you’ll work to improve conversational skills. Reading and writing practice will be provided through exercises completed at home and in class with the required textbook (Barron's E-Z Spanish 5th edition).The textbook is required for first class; instructions for purchasing it will be printed on confirmations.

Spanish for Beginners

This course emphasizes basic oral and written communication in Spanish. The primary focus of this course is to build proficiency through the practice of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Classroom exercises and homework assignments will be used to develop strong vocabulary skills and improve pronunciation. Cultural activities will be incorporated into the lessons in order to expand vocabulary and students' comprehension of the Hispanic world. Introduction to Arabic

This is a brief introduction to Arabic. It will cover the Arabic alphabet, reading, writing and basic conversation. This course is designed to give a basic understanding of Arabic for beginners. There is no previous experience required for this course. Students will need a notebook and pencil.

Introduction to Arabic - Part II

This is a continuation of the Introduction to Arabic class.  Students will begin to read and speak the Arabic Language.  There will be some basic concepts of Arabic Grammar introduced.  Students should already have knowledge of the Arabic alphabets and know the basics of reading and writing the language before taking this course.

French for Beginners

This is an introduction to the international romance and diplomatic exchange language. Learn how much you already know and use on a daily basis. Acquire the knowledge of over 500 words in the first session. Learning fast and having fun will provide you with the tools necessary to understand and speak this wonderful language. Beginning German

This class is for students who have never studied German before. It introduces basic vocabulary and pronunciation in everyday situations. A variety of activities and games will be used to teach communication skills. This allows students to pick up vocabulary and grammar in their proper context.
