Aromatherapy uses plant materials, known as essential oils, and other aromatic compounds for the purpose of altering a person's mood, cognitive function or health. In this class you'll learn about the various combinations of oils and compounds, their therapeutic benefits and modes of application. Using various ingredients such as lavender, sage, orange peel, brown sugar essential oils, coco powder and more, you'll create a fabulous body/facial scrub or milk bath of your own to take home.

Hunting Ghosts II: What's Really Out There?

In this class we will take a more in-depth look at what is being proposed as evidence to support the existence of paranormal activity. Photographic anomalies, voice recordings and data gathered with today's paranormal "tech" toys will be examined. You will build a portfolio of photographs to help you evaluate what might really be in your pictures and to become better acquainted with how your camera "sees" the world. You will participate in EVP experiments and work with some simple ITC devices to help you understand the advantages and limitations of this type of data gathering. We will also use and evaluate various meters and other devices in the field. We will discuss and practice evaluating the "evidence" and the politics of the paranormal. You will participate in a field investigation at a local site. An optional day trip to Gettysburg will be offered. Ghosts don't just come out at night! Skeptics and true believers are welcomed in this class. Bring your own cameras and recorders to every class.
