Rowing on the Schuylkill River for Beginners

If you are a beginner and/or have some rowing experience this Learn to Row course is perfect for you. Join us on the Schuylkill River for a four week course that will teach you the fundamentals of proper sculling, technique, safety and boat handling skills. The great thing about this course is you are going to get hands-on experience because ninety percent of this course is taught on the water. Rowing is a strenuous sport that requires flexibility and stamina so expect a full body workout. Wear sneakers, close fitting shorts or tights (such as lycra) no baggy t-shirts. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM TO SIGN UP FOR THIS COURSE. Note: Weather and special events may impact the schedule. Instructor will determine make-up dates and times as needed. This is a Beginner/Advanced Beginner Course. If you have taken this course before, please note that when you register so that we can be certain you are taught at your level.
